Friends @ Home
Individuals with special needs enjoy weekly visits in their homes from a paired volunteer, giving parents respite while the child enjoys homemade fun with his/her friends.
Minimum of 6 month commitment and once a week visits to the family’s home.
Our next training session is taking place on Sunday May 30 at 10AM. Current volunteers: an evite has been sent. Please be sure to RSVP no later than Thursday May 25!
The Volunteer Hunt
We are always looking for Volunteers! Our programs are purely volunteer run so we truly depend on volunteers to help us fulfill our friendship goals. Volunteers do not have to have experience in the field but should be passionate about working with children and learning new skills.
Volunteers are given training materials and attend training sessions to gain new applicable skills.

Specialist Sharon Reichstein spoke with new Friendship Circle members about connecting with their buddies amid the pandemic. We are so grateful for our network of friends committed to helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities during such an unprecedented time.
For our first volunteer workshop of 2022, accredited music therapist, Kelly-Anne Vander Meer spoke about the importance of music and how to implement it in visit with our buddies:
